Dr. Livitz was born in St. Petersburg (Leningrad), Russia. She graduated with top honors from St. Petersburg Medical Academy and completed her Rheumatology Fellowship at St. Petersburg Postgraduate Medical Institute. Upon completion of her fellowship, Dr. Livitz worked as a rheumatologist consultant at the City Rheumatologic Center in St. Petersburg.
Dr. Livitz obtained her second medical degree, Doctor of Osteopathy, from NYCOM. She completed her residency training at Nassau University Medical Center and North Shore University Hospital at Plainview.
Dr. Livitz is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment. She is an active member of the American Osteopathic College of Rheumatology, from which she received a Certificate of Proficiency in Rheumatology.
In 2012 -2016 Dr. Livitz received the Patients' Choice Award. The honor is bestowed on doctors who have received perfect scores, as voted by their patients. Patients' Choice 5th Anniversary Award (2016). The Patients' Choice Award - 5 Year Honoree is a recognition granted only to those doctors whose ratings have reflected excellence in care for five years in a row.
